Consistency is actually one of the most powerful tools we have.
Consistency makes tough routines an automatic thing, routines help stabilize us as humans because we are creatures of habit.
Changing your habits is about establishing a “new normal” so that healthy living and fitness becomes a way of life rather than something you either do or don’t do.
We all want results right?
Let’s say we want to lose 20lbs, tone up and improve in certain areas in the gym.
To achieve those goals you have to change your eating habits, your exercise habits and parts of your lifestyle. You would also have to be consistent with all of these in order to see the results.
Lack of consistency can or will be the reason our fitness goals or even life goals fail.
It may take several weeks, months or even years to see the results or goals we set our mind to.
Now, let’s get into why staying consistent is so hard for us.
We know how important it is to be consistent, but we as humans find it difficult.
The reason why staying consistent is so hard for us is because we look at the outcome or the end goal of it and we get so fixated on it because it excites us that we tend to forget the hard work and sacrifice it’s going to take to get there.
Or it could be that the results aren’t coming the first week or faster than we thought they would. So it makes it so much harder to stay consistent.
Remember, results take time! Starting your journey today and being consistent with it will get you your goals much sooner rather than later. We don’t want to look back months from now and have regrets of not starting today.
Work hard, stay motivated and be consistent!
Consistency = Results!
