Tell us about your sports & fitness background.

I played soccer for a few years and then started lifting consistently in 2018

How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? Take us back to your first WOD… what was it, and how did it feel?

I got exposed to CrossFit from Sarah who was at CFS at the time. I don’t remember the name of the WOD but it had wall balls and burpee box jumps. I remember this significantly because I was struggling to catch my breath and coach Jenn obnoxiously yelled “Welcome to CrossFit Bry”

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CF? (before / after)

Before I was never good at the gymnastics part but now I’m slowly improving. I did nutrition coaching with coach John so my weight has went down, and I’ve gained a significant amount of muscle & strength.

What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like CrossFit that were totally unexpected?

Socially I’m really shy, so being forced to be taken out of my comfort zone when it comes to making friends. I also think my mentality has changed. I used to eat to want to always be small but now I eat to be able to perform.

Please share with us your favorite CFS memory.

The day of the Bridgetown Competition. It’s a different feeling seeing so many people rally behind others in support and seeing our athletes leave their heart out on the competition floor was special.

Any advice for people just getting started?

Master the basics and always go at a consistent pace. It’s easy to panic when you see everyone ahead of you but don’t rush any movements unless it’s towards the end of the WOD

What are your hobbies, interests and/or talents outside of CrossFit?

I like to paint on the beach and go for drives
