How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? Take us back to your first WOD… what was it, and how did it feel?
Bike, air squats, and a variety of barbell movements (I used a PVC pipe). After the workout, I remember walking to my car, praying to make it without cramping up and falling to the ground 😂.
What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like CrossFit that were totally unexpected?
Working out at CFS has helped me excel in the outdoor activities and lifestyle that I live for. I surf, hike, or mountain bike weekly.
Any advice for people just getting started?
“It’s supposed to be fun!” One day Coach Jen told me this as I was complaining about the hard workout ahead. Now I walk into every workout saying this to myself. My mentality is I’m training for a fun sport, not just working out. Since then, I’ve seen my technique improve and I have met most of my quarterly goals.
