When did you first start CrossFitting?

 I first started CrossFitting about a year ago (2021)

When did you first start training at CFS? 

I started attending Crossfit Saved about a year ago as well (2021)

Favorite WOD? 

My favorite WOD is DT because I like the movements but it also hurts alot.

Least Favorite Movements?

Least favorite movements are any type of burpees or bike.

Tell us about your sports & fitness background. 

I played soccer from the age 8 to 18, I also played volleyball and ran track for high school.

How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? Take us back to your first WOD… what was it, and how did it feel?

I got exposed to crossfit by my brother Miguel, he kept pushing me to go for about a year before I felt brave enough to try it and its the best decision I’ve made so far!

I dont remember my first WOD but I remember one of the first times I worked out at the gym I did burpee jumping pull ups and I wanted to die… it look me right back to being a little girl and playing sports. 

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CF? (before / after)

I’ve lost a lot of body fat since starting CrossFit and listening to John’s advice with nutrition. He really helped me learn how to eat in a way that fuels my body for the workouts, while still losing fat and gaining muscle. 

What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like CrossFit that were totally unexpected?

Something I did not expect to change since I started CrossFit was developing a healthier relationship with food and appreciating my body for what it can do for me instead of what I want it to look like. 

Any advice for people just getting started? 

My advice for anyone starting out in CrossFit is to be consistent and show up as much as possible even if it’s just to move your body.  You will be so surprised by what your body can do for you, even on your worst days. 

What are your hobbies, interests and/or talents outside of CrossFit?

Outside of CrossFit I like having Girls Night Out with my cousins and friends.
